Built in 1935 and located in the core of the city’s historic district, Encanto is the third oldest golf course in Arizona. Designed by William P. Bell is Ideally suited for the average golfer with wide level fairways and a limited number of hazards making for an enjoyable round for all ages and levels of golfer. VGA Big Dog points winners for today’s event. Larry Burton and Donald Majors were having quite the contest today at Encanto. Playing together Larry Burton won it on the last hole with him scoring a 4 and Don a 5 on # 18. Larry was 1st place overall in the Encanto event at 66 net and Don was 2nd at 67 net. Bill Heller was 3rd at 68 net. Michael Lopez took home the Atta Boy at 69 net.
