Flight A top 3

Gary Moffitt and Dan Russell tied for low net at 70 net. Gary wins the 1st place in A flight at Wigwam Red. Dave Dean came in 2nd place with a 71 net. George Kowalchik was third place at 72 net. Brian Zivkovich tool the Atta Boy with his 73 net score.

Flight B top 3

Dan Russell a tie for low net score and 1st place in B flight. Brien Byers came in second place with a 71 net. Jim Foster took 3rd at 73 net. William “the Carver” Heller scored the Atta Boy with a 74 net.

Flight A top 3

Way to Go Al Dan. Al shot a 70 net for 1st place in A flight at Oakwood today. He also tied for best low net with Bill Heller the B flight winner. Another note for Dan he got all the good birdies for a nice $112 reward. George Kowalchik right behind Al at 71 net he gets 2nd for that. Eric Bolles and Bob Froehlich tied at 73 nets. Eric took the 3rd place money. Robert settled for the Atta Boy. Ties determined in a scorecard playoff.

Flight B top 3

Bill Heller takes 1st place and a tie for low net player at 71 net in B flight. Second place goes to Jeffery Turner for his 73 net play. Don Majors, Randy Thomas, and Gordon Lukert entered the scorecard playoff tied at 74 nets. Don took 3rd place, while Randy and Gordon shared the Atta Boy. Well done guys.

Flight A top 3

Ethan Motsney and Eric Bolles tied for 1st place at 71 nets. Ethan got the 1st place prize and Eric was 2nd place in a scorecard playoff. They also got the low net score for the event. Robert Froehlich was in for 3rd place with his 74 net. Elmer Schmidt received the Atta Boy at 75 net.

Flight B top 3

Jim Foster took 1st place in B flight with his 75 net. William “The Carver” Heller, Gary Vance, and Don Majors all shot 76 net. Bill took 2nd place, Gary was 3rd place, and Don took the Atta Boy. Places were determined by a scorecard playoff.

In the spirit of the game, this story reflects our shared love for Golf. On Monday the 4th Steve had a heart attack. August 5th, Steve Laveirge, a longtime VGA member, had a procedure. He had a stent placed to address a heart blockage. By August 9th, he was back in action, competing in the Wigwam Trifecta. I heard his front nine was impressive enough to put him close to the winner’s circle. While victory eluded him, it shows how much Steve enjoys competing. Many others also embrace the game wholeheartedly. I’m sure he didn’t do anything his doctor wouldn’t approve of. Courageous to say the least. A big VGA Atta Boy to you player. Get well and enjoy your rounds.
