The Valley Golfers Association is hosting its second annual Tournament Players Open (TPO). It will take place the weekend after Memorial Day, on May 31st and June 1st. Our Treasury is once again funding $2,000 (paying 10 places per flight) to the membership. The tournament will be held at the incredible Gold Canyon Resort & Spa. It will be played on both the Dinosaur and Sidewinder courses.Dinosaur Mountain Flyover
Matthew Brogen Sr. secured 1st place in A Flight with a 72 net score in today’s Round One. Congratulations to Matthew. Second place was claimed by Elmer Schmidt with a 74 net score. Amy Arnold, Eric Bowers, and June Vutrano each achieved 75 net scores. Amy earned 3rd place, while Eric and June shared the Atta Boy-Girl recognition award, as determined by a scorecard playoff. It was a challenging day for most players, with rounds exceeding five hours. The Dinosaur course certainly lives up to its Slope rating.

Seth Garcia finished the round with a net score of 68 in B Flight. This earned him first place. It was also the best net score of the Round One event. Excellent performance, Seth. Jim Foster, Eddie Little, and Bill Heller tied with net scores of 73. Jim secured second place, Eddie took third, and Bill Heller received the Atta Boy recognition.
