Flight A top 3

First place and low gross for the event, Ethan Motsney. His 68 net was well done on a not easy course with high humidity to boot. 2nd place went to Amy Arnold at 69 net. Matthew Brogen Sr took 3rd place at 70 net. Rob Katzaroff, and June Vutrano shared the Atta/Girl at 72 net tie. Such sportsmanship in VGA


Flight B top 3

Robert Froehlich took 1st place in B flight at 71 net. A job well done Robert. Charles Falcone, Bill Heller, Paul Eisenstein, and Brian Dempster tied with 74 net scores. Charles took 2nd place, Bill was 3rd place, and Paul and Brian shared the Atta Boy. Determined in a scorecard playoff. Brian shot an Eagle at Eagle Mtn. See below.

2025 VGA Club Championship at Tubac Golf Resort October 18th and 19th, 2025

All VGA Players:

This two-day tournament is taking place at the Tubac Golf Resort & Spa on October 18th & 19th.  There is an optional practice round available on October 17th.  The rules are simple:  1. Two Flights.  2. VGA Treasury is putting up $1,000 per flight payable to 10 places.  3.  A 10-round minimum required playing VGA tournaments over the 2025 season.  If the 10-round minimum has not been met, then the player is eligible for day money only.  4. Saturday will be a standard event with Big Dog Points available.  5. Both tournament days will include an entry fee of $15.00 with side pot options available.  6. A $50.00 bonus prize will be awarded to the low gross player of the two-day event. 

Our host hotel is the Canoa Ranch Resort located at 5775 S. Camino Del Sol in Green Valley (520) 382-0450.  According to our contact, the hotel will hold our reservation for 30 days. It will release the remaining room block if not reserved.  Book now to guarantee your stay.  The rates below will remain in effect.  In addition, the hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast included in the room rate.

Gary Moffitt and Dan Russell tied for low net at 70 net. Gary wins the 1st place in A flight at Wigwam Red. Dave Dean came in 2nd place with a 71 net. George Kowalchik was third place at 72 net. Brian Zivkovich tool the Atta Boy with his 73 net score.


Flight B top 3

Dan Russell a tie for low net score and 1st place in B flight. Brien Byers came in second place with a 71 net. Jim Foster took 3rd at 73 net. William “the Carver” Heller scored the Atta Boy with a 74 net.
