Flight A top 3

Andy Edson took 1st place in A flight with a 69 net. He also earned the low net at the Encanto event. Ron Landon claimed 2nd with a 71 net, while James Belanger finished 3rd at 72 net. Brian Scott earned the Atta Boy at 73 net. There was some great action at the 14th green today. Jeff Darbut and Chris Kabat both landed their shots at the top of the green. Jeff was just 5–7 feet behind Chris. They had about 50–55 feet downhill to the pin. Jeff’s putt was on track all the way before drifting slightly left, missing the birdie by a whisker. Inspired, Chris lined up his 50-footer. The group watched as it rolled perfectly into the cup. It was our Hoorah Shot of the Day. Doubt the player who tied Chris with a birdie matched that 50-foot magic.

Flight B top 3

Told Don not to go for the Atta Boy today, as he’s prone to do. He took my advice and ended up winning 1st in B Flight with a 70 net—well done, Donald! Second place went to Jeffery Turner with a 71 net. I also told Dan Clark, the “Legend,” that he should do something legendary today. He grabbed 3rd place with a 72 net—not quite legendary, but still impressive. There was a tie for the Atta Boy between Harley Ewing and Val Lechuga, both shooting 73 net. They shared the award without a scorecard playoff—true sportsmen!
