The VGA Club Championship is a two-day stroke play tournament held this year on Saturday, September 10th, and Sunday, September 11th. All VGA members who have participated in a minimum of ten VGA-sanctioned tournaments are eligible to play. The event is a 36-hole tournament to be played at Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona. For information regarding this fantastic golfing venue, please see their website @ https://www.oakcreekcc.com/.
The VGA is paying a total of $1,000 or $500 per flight as follows: First Place $200, Second Place $150, Third Place $100, and Fourth Place $50. Your winnings will be distributed at the annual awards affair to be held at a Saturday tournament venue in November.
Tee Times and Fees are 9:56 AM for both days @ $75.00 per round. Start times are flexible enough for those who want to commute to the tournament or make a weekend of it and stay a night or two in Sedona. A list of accommodations is Sedona hotels on a budget – Search (bing.com). Carpooling and hotel sharing can make it more fun and less expensive.
The Saturday tournament is a usual VGA event with the standard $10.00 entry fee, standard price money, and Big Dog points available. The Sunday tournament applies to the Club Championship only.
Even if you haven’t played in 10 sanctioned events, come out anyway and enjoy a fabulous golf course. The views are spectacular.
