Wednesday, May 3, 2017 / Verrado Founders course

Tucked in the foothills of the White Tank Mountains in Buckeye, Arizona, stretching to more than 7,000 yards, and offering jaw dropping views and rugged natural beauty, Verrado Golf Club is an exceptional West Phoenix Valley golf experience that can accommodate golfers of all levels. After your round, the Verrado Grille restaurant is a great place to relax and take in the Sunset!

Don’t know what was happening out at Verrado today, but looking at the scores appears something was making it tough indeed. Normally 70 net wouldn’t even get you in the money but today it took all the money. Three golfers tied at 70 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. All places were decided by the scorecard playoff. Tony “El Presidente” Dalton got first, Rich Golz got second and Tom Giljum got third. Neal Fisel at 71 net got the Atta-a-Boy. Next up on Saturday we travel to Sun City North course. Rest of the field’s scores are below.

Next up for VGA, Saturday, May 6, 2017 Sun City North 6:30 AM $ 29 food.

This is where it all began. The original Sun City AZ Golf Course developed by Del Webb. Large mature trees line the 18 golf holes which features very few straight golf holes, providing a lot of variety from hole to hole. Recently renovated tees, greens and bunkers give this course a modern touch while at the same time keeping the golf course very playable for everyone.
There is a full-service snack shop on site. Visit with friends on the expanded patio area where more golfers can now gather to have breakfast, lunch and an assortment of beverages while the Pro Shop has a wide variety accessories available for purchase.
