Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 / Ocotillo

Rising out of the Arizona desert like an oasis, Ocotillo Golf Club is a golfer’s paradise. The course encompasses rolling hills lined by mature trees, colorful flower beds and all shapes and sizes of water hazards. An alternative to the desert-style golf so commonplace in the valley, this sanctuary-like course is also one of the best-maintained facilities in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area. Boasting a list of amenities normally found only at the finest private clubs and resorts, Ocotillo is recognized as one of the finest daily-fee facilities in the country. Serving as a qualifier course for PGA Tour events, Ocotillo routinely receives a four-star rating in Golf Digest’s annual guide. Ocotillo was also voted as one of the “Three Must-Play” courses in the valley – along with Troon North and the Boulders – in a recent Golf Digest Readers Poll.

Nice and cool this morning didn’t last long however. Jim Niblack took first with 69 net. Well done Jim. Richard Brooks got 2nd place at 70 net. Bill Myers got 3rd with a 71 net. Doug Patterson and Fred Baldwin split the Atta Boy at 72 net each.  Rest of the scores click here.

This 18-hole championship course provides an excellent round of golf for every skill level at an affordable price. This well-maintained course has been a favorite to Arizona golfers and is consistently ranked as one of the area’s top daily fee courses. The course, while flat, has well-placed hazards that provide a fun and challenging golf experience. Ken McDonald also hosts a fantastic program for junior golfers.
