The Legacy Golf Club, rich in heritage and history, is an 18-hole par 71 championship golf course designed by renowned golf course architect Gary Panks. Located on what was once Dwight B. Heard’s 7,500-acre ranch, the golf club is rich in Arizona heritage and history. Taking great pride in preserving and integrating many of the historical structures and monuments, our 18-hole championship golf course offers a unique look and an added opportunity to experience some Arizona history and of the Heard legacy, from which the golf club takes its name. The original two-grain silos, built in 1902, still remain along the 18th fairway and were once the tallest structures in Maricopa County. The Sierra Vista House, which marks the 1st tee, was visited on occasion in the early 1900’s by Theodore Roosevelt and Pancho Villa. Come make your own history at the Legacy Golf Club!
Richard Brooks takes 1st place at Legacy with a nice 66 net score. Way to go, Richard, you are accumulating a nice stash of cash to take back home this Summer. Tied at 69 nets, Fred Baldwin was the 2nd place winner with Harley Ewing sneaking in and continuing his hot streak as of late for 3rd place all on the scorecard playoff system. Another 2-way tie for the Atta-A-Boy with John Bucco and Pete Dodge scoring identical 70 nets. Nice work guys and for those of you that were lucky enough to keep it close to the cart path good for you, the rest of us got a workout. The rain had dampened the course overnight but it was dry and firm with no water problems that I saw. Oh well isn’t my course to decide on cart path only. Warmed up nice and was great for the rest of day. Rest of the Fields scores are here.
