Perhaps Bear Creek was in as good of condition as we have ever played it. Greens were decent and held up well if you struck them correctly and the fairways had grass in most of the right spots. More than that there was no more beautiful weather than we had early with the wind getting to be a small problem later in the day. Rich Golz came in with a rejuvenated knee and a and a consistent shot that carried him to the win with a 64 net. Great job and hope you win many more. Thanks for the drinks too from our table. Second place went to Richard Brooks at 66 net. A very capable player as of late. Two were tied at 68 net coming in, fortunately for me I had the better back nine and won 3rd place on the scorecard playoff. Unfortunately for John Euler he captured the Atta-a-Boy again. Personal notes, Doug Rankin’s family is suffering today with the passing of his Father in law. Our condolences go to the family and friends. Steve Richter is back competing again. Cart partner today was in his words the former Legend, Danny Clark who struggled today but managed to encourage me on. Thanks Dan. Next event up is Union Hills, great little track and hope to see all of you there. Rest of the field’s scores are below.
Next up for VGA, Saturday, February 18, 2017 Union Hills 8:30 $49.00
