Tee it up at Club West Golf Club! Boasting a stunning 18-hole Brian Whitcomb/Ken Kavanaugh design that serves up 4 sets of tees ranging from 4,985 yards to as much as 7,142 yards from the back tees. The course’s elevation and beauty distinguish itself from other Phoenix, golf courses. Elevation changes that are nowhere more evident than at Club West’s signature par three: the downhill “double green” 17th hole that is highlighted by dramatic views and a tee to green elevation change of over 100 feet. Club West also features a complete practice range, well-appointed golf shop and full-service Agave Bistro that highlights spectacular views from the elegant dining room and patio. The 120-seat dining room also is one of the area’s popular banquet venue and is ideal for wedding receptions, special celebrations, and corporate events.
Odd day for AZ as it rained during our play time. Not hard enough to make you care much though. John Euler 62 net got him 1st place today. He finally scored low enough the no one could send him to Atta Boy status today. Great job John. Tom Giljum with and Eagle scored today on hole # 5 and a 63 net for second place. Well done Tom. Third place went to “The Dean of VGA” Uncle Gordon Lukert with a 64 net. Can the R-word be said once again? Nice work regardless. In a three-way tie at 66 nets for the prized Atta Boy award, Larry Burton, Richard Brooks, Tony Dalton will share it for this event. Bob Inman had another adventure today as he slid a golf cart down the wet hill and bounced himself out of the cart and bumped his head up a bit. Be careful Bob. Rest of the Field’s scores click here.
