Wednesday, December 28, 2016-Palmbrook

Originally opening in 1972, Palmbrook Country Club offers the most FUN Golf Country Club experience in Sun City, Arizona. The 6,500 yard Jeff Hardin designed golf course offers an exceptional park style tree lined golf course with newly updated bunkers and course amenities. The brook meandering through the back nine enhances the beauty of the course while putting a premium on well hit tee shots.

Ken “Wild Thing” Baca takes the 1st place prize today at Palmbrook with a stunning 64 net. Great job Kenny. Second place goes to Kevin Gilmore at 66 net, two strokes off Ken’s winning pace. Now it gets interesting, Tom “No Shoes” Hecocks took third place but some how he was too fugal to get in the prize pot. He got some birdie money but not 3rd place money. Two guys were tied at 68, Fred “Steady Freddy” Baldwin got the third place money on a scorecard playoff with Chris Ray. Chris, sorry you got the Atta-a-Boy. Rest of the field below.

Next event for VGA Sat, Dec. 31, 2016 Falcon Dunes (pay green fees to VGA in cash) 8:30:00 AM $54.00.

Falcon Golf Club opened for play in 1997 and quickly became a valley favorite for first class public golf at affordable golf rates. Brian Curley of Landmark Golf Company designed Falcon Golf Club. Majestically nestled around the Estrella & White Tank Mountains, the front nine is target style with desert like conditions and the back nine is more traditional with bunkers, water, and trees separating the fairways and greens. The golf course plays at 6733 yards from the back tees with par of 71. Falcon Golf Club has been known for having greens and fairways in great condition. Falcon is a great venue for tournaments because the golf course is playable for the beginning golfer yet challenging for the advanced golfer.
