Tee it up at Club West Golf Club! Boasting a stunning 18-hole Brian Whitcomb/Ken Kavanaugh design that serves up 4 sets of tees ranging from 4,985 yards to as much as 7,142 yards from the back tees. The course’s elevation and beauty distinguish itself from other Phoenix, golf courses. Elevation changes that are nowhere more evident than at Club West’s signature par three: the downhill “double green” 17th hole that is highlighted by dramatic views and a tee to green elevation change of over 100 feet. Club West also features a complete practice range, well-appointed golf shop and full-service Agave Bistro that highlights spectacular views from the elegant dining room and patio. The 120-seat dining room also is one of the area’s popular banquet venue and is ideal for wedding receptions, special celebrations, and corporate events.

Club West Course played pretty well today I thought but there was a lot of confusion with collecting the green fees, the holes had been changed around, they were using the old hole numbers but it came out pretty good for most folks. Danny Delgado playing hot still won today with a nifty 62 net. Keep it going, Dan. Rusty Silverman and Dave Dean played to a 66 net tie with the Golden Boy coming in second on a scorecard playoff. Dave Dean settled for 3rd place today even though he scored 5 birdies in the round. Watched him do it most birds I’ve seen for an individual player that I have played with. Well done Dave. The Legend Dan Clark racks up another Atta-A-Boy today he must have a shelf full of them. Fred Balwin scored an Eagle on the # 3 hole today, nice putt I’m told. I also putted for Eagle on that hole which I did Eagle the last time we played there but it was not to be. Got a Bird though. Aguila next Saturday so bring any shacks your want they don’t have any concession there yet. Rest of the field scores can be viewed here.

The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a Championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5’s are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila’s Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.
