Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 / Bear Creek

Beautifully Cloudy all day at Bear Creek Golf Course. Little too humid however. First place went to Larry Burton with a 66 net score. Great job Larry and thanks for picking up one of my lost balls today. Surprised you didn’t find more. Tied for 2nd, Bill Myers and Steve Richter at 67 net scores. Bill got 2nd on the scorecard playoff and Steve got 3rd place. Not enough players to pay out for 3rd today but I contributed to Steve’s IRA today anyway. Tom Giljum picked up the Atta-A-Boy at 68 net. Well done Tom. Next up on Saturday, Legacy should be a big field. Rest of today’s scores below.

Next up for VGA on Saturday Legacy at $39. Don’t miss that.

The Legacy Golf Club, rich in heritage and history, is an 18-hole par 71 championship golf course designed by renowned golf course architect Gary Panks. Located on what was once Dwight B. Heard’s 7,500-acre ranch, the golf club is rich in Arizona heritage and history. Taking great pride in preserving and integrating many of the historical structures and monuments, our 18-hole championship golf course offers a unique look and an added opportunity to experience some Arizona history and of the Heard legacy, from which the golf club takes its name. The original two-grain silos, built in 1902, still remain along the 18th fairway and were once the tallest structures in Maricopa County. The Sierra Vista House, which marks the 1st tee, was visited on occasion in the early 1900’s by Theodore Roosevelt and Pancho Villa. Come make your own history at the Legacy Golf Club!
