Tee it up at Club West Golf Club! Boasting a stunning 18-hole Brian Whitcomb/Ken Kavanaugh design that serves up 4 sets of tees ranging from 4,985 yards to as much as 7,142 yards from the back tees. The course’s elevation and beauty distinguishes itself from other Phoenix, golf courses. Elevation changes that are nowhere more evident than at Club West’s signature par three: the downhill “double green” 17th hole that is highlighted by dramatic views and a tee to green elevation change of over 100 feet. Club West also features a complete practice range, well appointed golf shop and full-service Agave Bistro that highlights spectacular views from the elegant dining room and patio. The 120-seat dining room also is one of the area’s popular banquet venue and is ideal for wedding receptions, special celebrations and corporate events.

Neal Fisel coming to play today. He likes that Champion of Champions play I think. He takes first place at a stunning 63 net. Tied at 64 nets were Bradley Rinehart and Tom Giljum. Brad won second place on a scorecard playoff and Tom got third place. Tied for the Atta-a-Boy at 67 nets were John Euler and Rich Golz. They decided not to playoff for but to share. Beautiful people, eh? Played in John group today, although he wasn’t really happy with his game today he played pretty good I think. Always a gas playing in your fore-some. Ok, I have to tell you all about my Eagle today, after I finally convinced Neal it was an Eagle. Hole #3 a short par 5 from the Whites. I hit a nice drive up the left side, Crushed a 3 wood to a spot mid green 10 feet off on the apron and I guess 50 ft of green. Pulled out my Ping PW and slapped it right down the middle of the cup. WhooHoo! Luck beats skill most of the time. Next up Cave Creek on Saturday for 2nd week of the Saturday Champion of Champions play. Latest VGA Eagle newsletter has been posted on the Newsletter page. Read it some rules changes and other important notices. Time change in new schedule for ASU Karsten in May so print out an updated schedule if you use the printed one. All online calendars are currently correct I believe. Rest of the field scores below.
