Saturday, November 4th, 2017 / San Marcos

The San Marcos Golf Course boasts a recent multi-million dollar renovation and now includes a brand new state-of-the-art irrigation system that produces year-round premium playing condition, expanded lakes, new tee boxes, reconstructed bunkers with new sand, and green enlargements on a handful of holes. The result is a strategically-diverse and visually stunning layout that makes for an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all playing abilities.

The Sun hardly came out full strength this morning and in fact, we even experienced a few rain sprinkles bout halfway through. Weather and course were excellent. Tom  Hebert was the man of the day as he charged in with a 66 net for 1st place. Whoa, Roc and I left early and just now found out I came in 2nd place. Much to my chagrin what with all the low 60 scores some of the guys have been putting up I didn’t think my 68 net had a chance. I’m a happy guy considering I was thinking about burning the clubs lately. Rusty Silverman came in with a 70 net tied with Richard Brooks who also had a 70 net. Rusty won third place on a scorecard playoff and Richard took home the Atta-A-Boy. Next up Wednesday Ken McDonald in Tempe. Remember it will be cart path only we’ve been told. Fun course so don’t miss playing it. Full results click here
