Saturday, March 21, 2020, / Ken McDonald
Ken McDonald is one of the most active and reasonably priced 18 hole par 72 championship golf courses in the metropolitan Phoenix area with a full service restaurant and bar. The golf course was built in 1974 and designed by the famous local architect Jack Snyder. This 18-hole championship course provides an excellent round of golf for every skill level at an affordable price. This well-maintained course has been a favorite to Arizona golfers and is consistently ranked as one of the area’s top daily fee courses. The course, while flat, has well-placed hazards that provide a fun and challenging golf experience. Ken McDonald also hosts a fantastic program for junior golfers.
Todays Scoring
Dan Campos 1st place, 1 Eagle and 4 Birds.
Fred Baldwin 2nd Place
Fred Laskowski 3rd Place.
Today at Ken McDonald, no rakes, pins are not to be handled, covers on ball cleaners, the restaurant closed period, checked in with cones set 6′ apart to show you where to stand, cashier was wearing rubber gloves, passed money through the door no entry, all staff in rubber gloves some had masks. Weirdness may last forever. Waiting for the final tab now as didn’t want to have a crowd together. Obviously no cards. Danny Campos showed me why he’s a scratch golfer. An Eagle on # 10 and four other Birdies. Kapowwww on every swing. Even forced me to play better. Dan took 1st place today with a 70 net. Second place goes to Fred Baldwin who tied Dan at 70 net but lost the scorecard playoff. Fred Laskowski finished in a tie at 71 net with me Harley Ewing at 71 net. Fred won third place and on the scorecard playoff. Me, I got the Atta Boy.
