Smokin hot, with temperatures predicted to top 115 degrees and a 9am start time, this chicken decided to forgo playing one of the better tracks we play during the year. Others of a more stout constitution did not forgo the heat and flourished in it. Ron Gunderson did and took first place with a 73 net. In 2nd place and playing very well as of late, Steve Richter with a 74 net. Tied for the 3rd place money at 75s, Jim White and Dan Christiansen. Jim prevailed on the scorecard playoff and Dan took home an Atta-Boy for his trophy case. I noticed the scores were a little higher than normal. I had heard they had just aerated the greens and of course the heat and a 128 slope rating on the very up tees probably accounted for that. We got another picturesque and challenging event this Wednesday June 8, 2016 The Boulders 7:30 AM $ 53.00.  Having never played it before I look forward to giving it a try. This course exceeds $250 to play in the Winter so now is a reasonable chance to check it out. See you out there I hope.
