VGA offers prearranged golf events on Wednesdays and Saturdays at courses in the Phoenix area. Membership in VGA open to Men & Women
Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 / Pueblo El Mirage
You’ll never wait long to tee off here. Carefully designed on 6,600 yards, our 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course, designed by Fuzzy Zoeller, is ranked one of the best in the valley, and it’s waiting for you. It is pure paradise. Pueblo El Mirage’s golf course will challenge you – yes – even if you’re the most seasoned player. With delicate levels of difficulty, you’ll continuously fall for it’s challenging ways, pristine greens, radiant lakes and what seems like endless rolling fairways. Water comes into play on 13 holes. Just picture a 118-yard, par-3 requiring a tee shot over water to a peninsula green. Now, keep imagining it, or you’re welcome to come experience it at signature hole #3. We are big believers in quality and affordability, which is why our year-round golf rates are affordable. You are able to purchase to play by day, week, month, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. Afterward, stop in the El Mirage Sports Bar and Grill to enjoy our great food and beverage offerings.
Two things you can take away from today’s event at Pueblo El Mirage. One would be you can shoot a 59 net and not get 1st place and you can shoot 60 net and only get the Atta-A-Boy. Ben Hughes and John Pierce shot 59 nets today, Ben got 1st place on the scorecard playoff while John got 2nd place. Tony Dalton and Tom Hebert shot 60 net with Tony getting 3rd place on the scorecard playoff and Tom got the Atta-A-Boy imagine that, can you? Rest of the field’s scores click here.
Next, up for VGA, Wednesday, February 7, 2018, Ocotillo 8:00 AM $53.00
Rising out of the Arizona desert like an oasis, Ocotillo Golf Club is a golfer’s paradise. The course encompasses rolling hills lined by mature trees, colorful flower beds and all shapes and sizes of water hazards. An alternative to the desert-style golf so commonplace in the valley, this sanctuary-like course is also one of the best-maintained facilities in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area. Boasting a list of amenities normally found only at the finest private clubs and resorts, Ocotillo is recognized as one of the finest daily-fee facilities in the country. Serving as a qualifier course for PGA Tour events, Ocotillo routinely receives a four-star rating in Golf Digest’s annual guide. Ocotillo was also voted as one of the “Three Must-Play” courses in the valley – along with Troon North and the Boulders – in a recent Golf Digest Readers Poll.
