Saturday, December 30th, 2017 / Aguila

The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a Championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf at an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5’s are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila’s Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.
Al Dan, Aguila winner.

Al Dan with a 63 net takes first place at Aguila today. I think Al likes Aguila. 2nd place goes to Tom Hebert my cart partner today with a 64 net. Rising out of the Arizona desert like an oasis, Ocotillo Golf Club is a golfer’s paradise. The course encompasses rolling hills lined by mature trees, colorful flower beds and all shapes and sizes of water hazards. An alternative to the desert-style golf so commonplace in the valley, this sanctuary-like course is also one of the best-maintained facilities in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area. Boasting a list of amenities normally found only at the finest private clubs and resorts, Ocotillo is recognized as one of the finest daily-fee facilities in the country. Serving as a qualifier course for PGA Tour events, Ocotillo routinely receives a four-star rating in Golf Digest’s annual guide. Ocotillo was also voted as one of the “Three Must-Play” courses in the valley – along with Troon North and the Boulders – in a recent Golf Digest Readers Poll.
