Open to the public, Wickenburg Country Club in Wickenburg, Arizona features 6,320 yards of golf at its longest tees and a par of 71 . A true “desert style” golf course, Wickenburg Country Club’s back tees have a rating of 70.4 and a slope rating of 118. The golf course was designed by William F. Bell, ASGCA/William P. Bell, ASGCA and re-opened in 2006 after a renovation project converting it from the original 9 hole course to its current 18 hole layout.
Ron Gunderson bad knee and all scored a terrific 68 to win first place at Wickenburg CC today. Way to go big guy. Tom Giljum taking second place money today with a 69 net one shot off the pace. Tied at 73 net two golfers, Mick Panarello and Steve Richter. Mick got the third place money on the scorecard playoff and Steve, you guessed it the Atta-a-Boy. Ken McDonald is one of the most active and reasonably priced 18 hole par 72 championship golf courses in the metropolitan Phoenix area with a full service restaurant and bar. The golf course was built in 1974 and designed by the famous local architect Jack Snyder. This 18-hole championship course provides an excellent round of golf for every skill level at an affordable price. This well-maintained course has been a favorite to Arizona golfers and is consistently ranked as one of the area’s top daily fee courses. The course, while flat, has well-placed hazards that provide a fun and challenging golf experience. Ken McDonald also hosts a fantastic program for junior golfers.
